Photographs of the Wildlife Garden

December 2006

Two views of the wildlife garden - standing with back to river looking first north west towards the allotments then north east. A reference point is the school, which you can just see the edge of in the first picture and which is the building in the background of the second picture.

May 2005

The brambles have been cut down.  The in the foreground you can see the river and bridge whilst in the background you can see the allotments and edge of the school.

This is a close up of the picture above.  You can hopefully see the mound of earth excavated for from the pond and the pile of sand that will be used to line the pond.

We've done a lot of ground clearance over the winter and have planted a wildflower meadow (much of the foreground).  In the background you can see the digger that is creating the bog garden and will lift the remaining turn from the meadow area so we can sow some more seed.
