Jobs

Finish digging and making new beds.  Prepare soil for planting by covering with polythene to warm up

Chit early potatoes

Check the pH of your soil and manure or lime as necessary (although lime should be applied at least two months before planting)

Prune autumn raspberries and plant new canes

Plant soft fruit bushes, bare rooted trees and summer fruiting raspberries

Prune standard apples and pears

Prepare the asparagus bed by removing all traces of perennial weeds and digging in plenty of manure or compost.
