DORSET ROAD ALLOTMENTS & LEISURE GARDENS We had a very good turn out for our Open Day on Sunday 13th May in spite of the awful weather. We were well supported by our plot holders and their families and friends; as well as local residents. Thanks to everyone for all of the preparations such as :- Growing
the plants and caring for them ready for Open Day. Donations
of plants from our plot holders. The
making of all the delicious cakes. Preparation
of the site. Donations
of prizes. Dog
display. Bee
demonstration. The
supply of side shows. Community
policemen. Local
M.P. Jacqui Lait. The
printing of the leaflets and their distribution. BBQ/food
preparation. Help
in refreshments, serving and ‘washing up’. Manning
the many sideshows and tables. Preparing
the day before, all your help on the day, and the clearing up afterwards. We could not have done it without your help. If there is anyone we have
forgotten; then we shall say a thank you to you. Don’t forget to support us again on SUNDAY
24th JUNE 12 noon until 4 p.m. The
St. Christopher’s Hospice Open Day. All proceeds to this cause. ‘We need the supply of home made cakes again to sell on the day ‘ From the Committee of Dorset Road Allotments.
