Awards

 

We have won a number of awards including:

 

- the London Borough of Bromley Environment Awards in 2006 for "recycling and reuse" and the "Community" award for our commitment to sustainability and our work with children at the local school growing fruit and vegetables. We were also commended in the Group award category in 2011 for our continued commitment to the environment.

In 2011, our Secretary, Tom Douglas, together with the Bromley Allotments and Leisure Gardens Federation Chairman John Penny were also recognised for their services to allotments with personal awards.

we have been given the Green Flag Community Award (formerly the green pennant award) 8 years in a row in recognition of the welcoming, sustainable green space and all the hard work undertaken by our members. This national award recognises high quality green spaces in England and Wales  managed by voluntary and community groups.  

 

 

- a grant from Awards for All (Lottery Grants) to develop a Wildlife garden of about half an acre and do other improvements to the site.
